Owner Thomas Davis, Jr. opened Davis Appraisal Service in 1981. In 1986, he became a certified Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). But Mr. Davis became interested in the real estate business in the 1970s, long before he opened his business. It was at that time he was a high school math teacher and basketball coach at J.M. Morehead High School in Eden, NC. During the summertime, he started painting for a friend's real estate business. He later became a real estate agent selling homes with his friend's business. Mr. Davis then took appraisal courses to become a certified appraiser.

Mr. William Flynt, Jr. is another North Carolina native and he has worked for Davis Appraisal Service as a state certified residential real estate appraiser since 2004. A graduate from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, Mr. Flynt helps the clients of Davis Appraisal Service with providing detailed appraisal reports on each property he visits.
